The mission of the ZAA is to create an environment of opportunity, inclusion, art and therapy. The ZAA will accomplish this by providing gallery space for “Exceptional Artists” to showcase and sell their art, a therapy room for clinical art and music therapy and provide a studio for art classes.

The Gallery will be open during Mill Race Village hours. The Gallery will have a general manager and will host Community Based Instruction, Vocational Rehabilitation and will be a “Structured Learning Environment”. In keeping with the Mission of the Zefer Foundation, the ZAA will provide “transitional adults” the opportunity to learn job skills in a supportive and progressive environment.
The Therapy Room will be rented to approved, vetted and certified therapists for art and music therapy. However, ZAA reserves the right to extend availability of the space to speech and occupational therapists. The clients will be accompanied by parents or caregivers that must stay in the area. Our hope is that we bring new business to the MRV while providing a much needed service to the community. The Therapy Room will be available from 7am-7pm, 7 days a week.

The Studio will be used for inclusion art classes, specialty classes, Drink and Draw, Paint and Sip, private events, birthday parties ect. The Studio will be available for booking 7 days a week, am and pm hours.

We, the Board, feel that this is a wonderful opportunity to cultivate the kind of community that we all want to live in while increasing and diversifying the foot traffic in the MRV. We also feel very strongly that the synergy with Breaking Grounds, The ZAA, Silver Lining and the other Mill Race Village businesses will be mutually beneficial.
